Shaun Ruskin, 26, born and raised
off the sandy shores of Rockaway Beach, New York, has found an infatuation
in life that every person in the world could only dream to find…and
he wants to share it with everybody! He’s found a passion in helping
people conquer their physical and mental demons, not just by the way of
personal fitness training, but through his writing, and speaking.
It’s been over ten years since Shaun first began studying his lifelong
commitment and career in fitness, and he doesn’t intend on slowing
down anytime soon. As a teenager one of the few activities Shaun truly enjoyed
was working out.
“ It was a passion of mine, like sports or video games would be for
another adolescent teenager stricken with boredom. I would put working out
at the gym in front of many things in my life, somewhat of a top priority
you could say.”
Four years in college weren’t any different. Out of all his classes
he would breeze through exercise and fitness courses, health, nutrition,
and physiology like they were remedial reading and writing. They came quite
easy, and people started to take notice.
Even before Shaun became certified, men and women alike would approach him
and inquire about lifting weights and losing weight. He was so dedicated
to bettering himself that they must have smelled it on him. “ I used
to love answering their questions. They would walk away with a look of motivation
and determination on their grinning faces, like they finally had something
to look forward to, a real goal. ”
After Shaun became certified with A.F.A.A. (Aerobics Fitness Association
of America), he was beginning to become somewhat known for his advice giving,
the manner in which he gave it, and the way it worked for so many. Within
a short period of time, while working as a personal trainer at a Manhattan
NYSC, Shaun was approached to write a question and answer type column on
fitness that would be published in a local New York newspaper. Sort of like
a Dear Abby, but on fitness. To make a long story short the column was a
huge success and became syndicated. It was received with a great response
because Shaun stays away from technical terms, answers only what the reader
needs to know, and motivates to the point where men and women alike are
anxious to see what topic he’ll be conquering in the coming week.
It only made sense for the book to follow. Shaun recently self published
his first book entitled
,
including everything you need to know about fitness in one short, and easy
to read book. Shaun can also be seen on numerous major television networks
promoting infomercial products he believes in. The Saga continues…
Shaun isn’t simply a personal trainer. He’s an understanding
writer, a motivator and analyzer, using personal experience to share his
advice, tips, and suggestions that will have his readers looking, and more
importantly feeling better, inside and out. |
